Chef Zoe.

Tonight, i cooked dinner and yes, my kitchen is still in one piece. Success in its own right!

I made chicken filled with bacon, cheese and asparagus and then wrapped again in bacon (what? My family like bacon)

Now, I understand the irony of me talking about bacon and wanting a pet pig (post below) but obviously that pig would be, well....a pet, in no way would i ever personally harm an animal, ever! Just sayin' :)

Above, are my ingredients, OK,  we did have your basic vegetables, ya know, carrots, potatoes  broccoli- but my mum took care of that part so i could concentrate on my chicken thingies  not to mention a quarter of the cheese was stolen by my dad but apart from that everything is pretty much there. Oh and tooth picks, use those to hold everything together, trust me, ya need them!

Following the advice of my wiser mother, i decided to cook my chicken thingies (good name, I know) in butter and olive oil, in a frying pan, just so i could keep my eye on them.
It took about 20 minutes or so, give or take a few minutes, just to be 100% sure that everything is cooked through (I'll find out for sure in the morning but so far, neither one of my parents have been ill, so it's all good in the hood)

You don't want to over-do it though, because then your asparagus will just go soggy and taste "bleugh" so SAY NO TO SOGGY-NESS and just keep checking. Also, put foil over the pan to keep the heat in, speeds up the cooking process ;)

Mmmmm....good ole' crispy bacon, crunchy asparagus, melted cheese and tasty chicken. My English teacher would be so proud of my use of describing words in that short sentence. Now, i will mention the cheese, it does run out, but quite a lot of it still stays in the chicken which I was relieved to find (phew)
So, at the end of the day, it turned out pretty good. I managed to get the thumbs up for mum and dad and rewarded myself with a Cherry bakewell, best cake ever! I didn't take a picture of it because i pray to god that you all know what a Cherry bakewell looks like and if not, then google it :)
Oh and if you are planning on making this, make sure you double check with the internet for time specifications or ask your mum, like I did ;D

Now for the fun part, the washing up. Yay.
G'night peoples!

P.S: I did boot camp again this evening and it was really hard, it was a whole new routine, but it was still fun. But am I gonna ache tomorrow or what!

xoxo
