Paracetamol, I love you.

No, I AM NOT A DRUGGIE! ....Just sayin'

But I have been horribly ill these past couple of days :( Zoe not well!

I literally slept in until 1pm on Tuesday. My longest ever lie in! But did me the world of good.

And to add to that, I realised I had not posted anything  for the past 11 days - Bad Zoe! My apologies!

So basically, I went out with all my friends on Saturday night.....hahahahaha - Yeah, that's pretty much how it went, I found everything hilarious and I don't know why, no I WAS NOT drunk.

Anyway, This is just one of those quick posts to let you know I am still alive, kind of, apart from the fact my throat feels like it's about to explode and I can't pop my ears AND everytime I stand up, I feel tipsy and dizzy and have to sit down again. FUN TIMES!

Anyway, hopefully, next week will be a little more exciting than last week (reason for lack of blogging by the way) and I'll have some stuff to share with you :D

Sandwich of the year?

A little lunch-time sandwich possibility for you guys...

I'm not a chef or self-proclaimed sandwich making champion but I did just make a really tasty sandwich/roll for my brother and myself so I thought i'd share it with you:

All you need:

A nice bread roll/bocadillo/baguette

 Butter

Camembert/Brie cheese (whichever one you want to call it, tastes the same- right?

Pip-less red grapes

Mayonnaise

Ham (optional)

Basically all I did was, heat up or grill the  bread rolls for about a minute (microwave or oven) then sliced them open, buttered them, mayonnaise-d the top part, slice up some Camembert cheese and spread all over. Then, I sliced up some grapes and stuck them on top, and covered it with a slice of ham.

Then you can either microwave them or put the rolls under the grill, just so the cheese can melt, for a couple of minutes and voila! Lunch is ready!

It tasted really nice, but unfortunately, I didn't think of this filling all by myself. I first had this taste-bud beauty when I was visiting England and I got it at a petrol station after a night out in the form of a pannini, courtesy of Costa ;)

So, there you go, just a random post about a sandwich but I just thought i'd share the love.

Enjoy!

Hunt for an advent calendar!

I can't believe how unorganized I've been this year, especially on something so important....CHOCOLATE!

I woke up this morning and suddenly, it dawned on me, it's the 1st December and I don't have an advent calendar! What?!

So my big brother, who is here for the weekend, and I got ready and went to the supermarket, Mercadona, the most popular one and we thought "Oh Spanish people don't celebrate Christmas, there will be loads left" WRONG! there was nothing, just some fruit cake thing that you're supposed to eat on Christmas day, no chocolate in it whatsoever :(

NEXT, we tried Iceland, a typical English supermarket, of course they'll still have some? But on second thoughts, I live in a really English town, and these advent calendars would probably have been out for weeks, they'll be all gone. Yeah, this time i was right.

We then tried Aldi, German supermarket, they do nice chocolate but are they big on the whole Christmas thing? No, is the answer to that question. They're big on the whole fruitcake and marzipan but no advent calendars.

By then we were about to give up but decided we could just buy a box of chocolates and eat one every day until Christmas day!

Soon enough, we bought a bag of chocolate coins each, conveniently containing 24 coins (success!) and a chocolate Santa each (Just because, who doesn't like chocolate Santas?)

(My brother and his purchases)

So at the end of the day, we didn't get the advent calendar we hoped for but we did get a lot more chocolate for two people for the price of one advent calendar! Happy days!

(I highly doubt this will be in one piece by the end of next week)

Thanks for reading!

How I felt this morning

Just a quick photo to let you guys know....

...I definitely felt like this, this morning. Luckily, the dog needed to go out so that got me up!

Off to work I go! Bye!

xoxo

We BRAVE-d it!

I've finally seen BRAVE! Last night my friend, Imogen and I watched it whilst munching on pizza and these ham and cheese breadcrumb things (we really don't know what they were called but they were nice)
Any way, after we'd finished watching Magic Mike *dribbles* we decided to opt for a Disney film, and neither of us had watched BRAVE.
(I'm sorry about my dog's creepy eye, blame the stupid flash)

Anyway, it was really really good! I liked how action-y it was, like there's this bad-ass ginger haired girl with a bow and arrow fighting bears and stuff, then arguing with her mother about her betrothal, like it was Disney's definition of rebellion. Wickeeeed.

It was also fairly emotional, i'm not saying we were in a ball of tears or anything, but I was kind of shouting at the screen saying things like "No don't kill her!" "Just sew the tapestry together!" (If you haven't seen it you won't understand that, so I apologize but i'm not going to explain it and spoil the film for you)

So yeah, it was pretty good and worth a watch, it's got a pretty strong story line to it and is genuinely quite funny. Her three little brothers, the triplets are sooo cute! I promise, even if you don't enjoy the film, you will "aaaaaawwww" at the little ginger kids and then they turn into three little bear cubs! 0.o' The cute factor just shoots through the roof, so much so, Imogen and I now want one of these toys for Christmas.
                                                           - £16 at Toys R Us, get in!

Adorable, right?

So if you haven't see Brave, go see it, watch it online, buy it on DVD, and watch Tangled while you're at it- just because that's equally awesome :D

Like I said above, before Brave, we watched Magic Mike, OHMYGOODNESS.
Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, stripping- need I say more? I think not.

I think I can speak for Imogen too, we didn't entirely understand the film, but who cares when you can just stare at these two hotties for an hour and a half? Or maybe that's why we didn't understand it, lack of concentration?

Anyway, there you have it, my opinion on two popular films.

My two final tips:
Brave: Cute, maybe bring tissues if you cry easily.
Magic Mike: Bring tissues anyway, for the dribble.

*Only the top photo belongs to me, the rest belong to other websites and have all the film rights and stuff :)

Thanks for reading, bye!

Top 3 on YouTube

I'm going to dedicate this post to tell you about my 3 favourite YouTube channels.

Number 1: emilyhart - My first  YouTube must-watch is Emily Hartridge and her weekly video of "10 reasons why..."
These videos are hysterical, and she is well-known. She has well over a million viewers on the web (one of which is me) and has been praised in The Daily Mail quite a few times, including one this week i do believe.

I can honestly say not a week goes by when I don't watch her videos because she genuinely cracks me up every single time, not to mention the infamous pajama dance that occurs right at the end. I guarantee it will never get old!

So, whether it's from why men cheat to why women love vampires, I promise you will laugh at least 7 out of 10 times ATLEAST!!!

So please, do yourself a favour, go, go watch her! ;)

Number 2. LeFloofTV- This channel has got to be one of absolute favourites. It follows the highs and lows of the lives of Jonathan and Anna Saccone-Joly, a newly-married couple with a baby girl and six maltese dogs, living in Ireland.

Each day at 6 o'clock GMT, a 20 minute (round about) video is uploaded of their daily life. Now,   I may have made that sound really boring but trust me, the videos are hilarious! Jofus (aka Jonathan) takes the camera absolutely everywhere they go. I don't really know why i enjoy it so much, maybe i'm just nosy but I know for sure, i'm not the only one. This little family has been on the news, in the papers, have world-wide fans so that's how good it is. Both, Anna and Jonathan also have their own YouTube channels too. (TheStyleDiet and Jonathanjoly)

so go check it out, you might get hooked, just like me!

Number 3: And my third and last, but by no means least, is twins, Megan and Liz, who you can find at MeganandLiz. These two girls have the most incredible voices. They upload regular covers of  well known songs which i guarantee will blow you away! (I'm saying 'guarantee' quite a lot, aren't i?)
In the majority of their songs, Megan plays the guitar (extremely well) and both girls show off their flawless harmonies, they must practice 24/7.
They also have a couple of their own songs on their YouTube channel and have worked hard to receive the views they get so go show them some love and support!

Chef Zoe.

Tonight, i cooked dinner and yes, my kitchen is still in one piece. Success in its own right!

I made chicken filled with bacon, cheese and asparagus and then wrapped again in bacon (what? My family like bacon)

Now, I understand the irony of me talking about bacon and wanting a pet pig (post below) but obviously that pig would be, well....a pet, in no way would i ever personally harm an animal, ever! Just sayin' :)

Above, are my ingredients, OK,  we did have your basic vegetables, ya know, carrots, potatoes  broccoli- but my mum took care of that part so i could concentrate on my chicken thingies  not to mention a quarter of the cheese was stolen by my dad but apart from that everything is pretty much there. Oh and tooth picks, use those to hold everything together, trust me, ya need them!

Following the advice of my wiser mother, i decided to cook my chicken thingies (good name, I know) in butter and olive oil, in a frying pan, just so i could keep my eye on them.
It took about 20 minutes or so, give or take a few minutes, just to be 100% sure that everything is cooked through (I'll find out for sure in the morning but so far, neither one of my parents have been ill, so it's all good in the hood)

You don't want to over-do it though, because then your asparagus will just go soggy and taste "bleugh" so SAY NO TO SOGGY-NESS and just keep checking. Also, put foil over the pan to keep the heat in, speeds up the cooking process ;)

Mmmmm....good ole' crispy bacon, crunchy asparagus, melted cheese and tasty chicken. My English teacher would be so proud of my use of describing words in that short sentence. Now, i will mention the cheese, it does run out, but quite a lot of it still stays in the chicken which I was relieved to find (phew)
So, at the end of the day, it turned out pretty good. I managed to get the thumbs up for mum and dad and rewarded myself with a Cherry bakewell, best cake ever! I didn't take a picture of it because i pray to god that you all know what a Cherry bakewell looks like and if not, then google it :)
Oh and if you are planning on making this, make sure you double check with the internet for time specifications or ask your mum, like I did ;D

Now for the fun part, the washing up. Yay.
G'night peoples!

P.S: I did boot camp again this evening and it was really hard, it was a whole new routine, but it was still fun. But am I gonna ache tomorrow or what!
